Bowl projections: College Football Playoff, bowl games predictions

Making bowl projections is like trying to slot basketball teams into the NCAA tournament. They’re never going to be perfect and one alteration affects the entire field.

As we enter college football’s final weekend, the scenarios are endless for the College Football Playoff. One upset in this weekend’s championship games and the entire bowl structure changes significantly. A Big Ten championship win by Ohio State over unbeaten Wisconsin could set up an all-time debate between the Buckeyes and Alabama for the fourth playoff spot. Upsets by TCU or Miami could have both playoff and bowl ramifications.
