Jay Ajayi trade a major upgrade for fantasy football

Sports
On Tuesday morning, former Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. There are a few repercussions here from a fantasy football standpoint. To put it simply, it's a clear upgrade for Ajayi's fantasy stock despite a potential volume decrease. The Dolphins currently rank as second-from-last in the NFL in rushing offense, averaging a mere 76.4 rush yards per game and a combined 3.2 yards per carry average. Miami remains the only team in the NFL without a rushing touchdown this season. Football Outsiders currently has Miami's o-line as the 28th-ranked run-blocking unit of 2017. Ajayi now lands in a Philadelphia backfield that ranks fifth in the NFL in rushing, averaging 129.2 rush yards per game on the heels of ...

ATHLETICS

Theulen, the architect behind one of the most successful and respected Division III programs in the Northeast for nearly two decades, retired as Director of Athletics this past summer.“Without Mike's enthusiasm, determination, and drive, the University's athletic program would never have excelled in such a remarkable way.  We were so fortunate to have had Mike as our team leader since 1998. He transformed athletics at Western New England," stated University president Dr. Anthony S. College Football Playoff Rankings Preview: Three Questions About the First Top Four

FOOTBALL
Halloween is a special day for college football fans this year. It's the first day of the 2017 season that we get to freak out over the College Football Playoff rankings. We'll freak out even though we know the rankings will most likely be drastically different by the time the playoff field is set in December. We’ll freak out because [INSERT MY TEAM] is too low. And we’ll freak out because [INSERT MY RIVAL] is too high.Projecting what the selection committee’s entire Top 25 will look like would be too much fruitless guesswork. Let’s stick with fewer teams here. Based on how the previous three seasons of CFP rankings have gone and what we’ve seen on the field thus far, here's our best guess for the top six:1. Georgia2. Alabama3. Notre Dame4. Ohio State5. Oklahoma6. ClemsonIn order to exp

Why Ezekiel Elliott's Suspension Was Reinstated, and Does He Have a Shot of a Reversal?

Sports
To put it mildly, Ezekiel Elliott has experienced a turbulent 24 hours. On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys running back rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-19 victory over the Washington Redskins. On Monday, U.S. District Judge Katherine Failla of the Southern District of New York denied Elliott a preliminary injunction in his multi-state litigation against the NFL. Judge Failla’s decision means that the NFL can finally enforce its six-game suspension of Elliott—unless an unlikely legal ruling alters the trajectory of this case. Why Elliott lostAs has been stressed from the beginning of Elliott’s legal efforts in August, Elliott and the NFLPA face unfavorable legal precedent in any court required to follow the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit’s decision in the Tom Brad
